Rubber dinghy trips

This is a stomach-clenching adrenalin kick!

We travel up by snowmobile to Stoere Tjåhke, which is where we inflate the dinghy. We’ll also make sure we have with us other types of “boats” that normally come in handy.

Charging down a snowy slope in a rubber dinghy seems a reckless thing to do, but we have chosen the slope with care and we know how to stop the boat if need be. Safety comes first.

Controlling the boat is a problem, but this is part of the fun. The hull is flat and the weight distribution unbalanced, which can result in the boat twirling around. If you have never lost control of your situation before, it can be quite daunting to just to let the dinghy go and speed down a hill at over 90 km/hour.
